Joey Shavala, AKA the King of the Lower East Side, often made a spectacle revving his Harley down Mulberry Street on his way into the Shop. Borrowing his moniker, and his signature style, from the King of Rock and Roll, Joey was always flashin’ a pair of gold aviators and a combed back pompadour. With Joey’s rock star persona in mind, The SHAV was designed to turn heads on your way out the door. Elvis has left the building.

Inspired by the British Public Health Services "Poor Boy" Spectacles of the 1960s, The ZEV is named for GREAT Grandpa Sol's cousin and neighborhood lawyer, Zeyfer Braunstein (or Zev for short), who wore this clever, dapper frame (British accent included) when he needed to put his best face forward, helping neighbors whose reputations were on the line, get off the hook.

The ZULU recreates the ubiquitous American Optical Pilot frame made famous in the 1940s.
