Close friends and family nicknamed Grandpa Sol, Zilch, which we are absolutely certain they meant ironically since Grandpa Sol was anything and everything but zero, nada, or zip. Or they were mean. Either way, we love this new frame and Grandpa Sol. Made from acetate with column rivets on the front and temples, a key hole bridge, and a real five barrel hinge.

Sol (2nd Generation) used to sneak out for lunch at Ratners, where its manager Abe meticulously reviewed each customer’s receipt.
