Polarization is considered the best option for optimal sun glare protection. While this is true for most people, not everyone really needs nor prefers a polarized lens.

What are Polarized lenses?

Polarized lenses contain a special filter imbedded in the lens that blocks scattered light, specifically, light reflected from flat surfaces. By flat surfaces, we mean things like the hood of the car or the surface of the water. Once this scattered light is eliminated one’s visibility is greatly enhanced as a result of reduced glare.

Who should wear Polarized lenses?

Anyone who spends a great deal of time outdoors will benefit from polarized lenses. Specifically; boaters, fishermen, skiers, bikers, golfers, and joggers since eliminating glare will improve their performance and optimize their safety.

Do you need a Polarized lens?

Not everyone needs nor prefers a polarized lens. Ultimate UV protection can be achieved with superior quality sunglass lenses. Polarized lenses can reduce the ability to view LCD and LED displays (think dashboards and cell phones) which to some is very annoying.  It’s a personal and lifestyle choice!

FYI – All MOSCOT sunglasses are UVA and UVB protected.
