Last night, the air was crisp and the wine was plentiful at City Winery in SoHo, as we celebrated MOSCOT’s nonprofit, MOSCOT Mobileyes, and our 100 Year Anniversary with a night of Legendary Rock ‘n’ Roll of the Lower East Side! With featured artist, G.E. Smith leading the way, special guests included Richard Barone, Willie Nile, Southside Johnny, and Joe Louis Walker…as well as the smart fortwo edition MOSCOT cabriolet, parked out front…which we raffled off to one lucky winner!
Guests were treated to an especially nostalgic performance, with touching (and electrifying!) tributes to the original rockstars of the Lower East Side—The Velvet Underground and the late Lou Reed. The undeniably talented band ripped through their two hour set, with the crowd calling for more! To round off the evening, and with much anticipation, it was an honor to have G.E. Smith choose the winner of a FREE smart fortwo edition MOSCOT cabriolet, a year-long collaboration between MOSCOT and smart, in honor of our 100 Year Anniversary. Find out who the lucky winner is below!
Founded in 2008, MOSCOT Mobileyes preserves sight and improves lives by providing free, quality eyecare and eyewear to New York City’s underserved community. To learn more about the work we do, please visit the MOSCOT Mobileyes website.
We are in complete awe of the generosity and help of those who made last night truly memorably. Special thanks to City Winery, G.E. Smith and Friends, smart worldwide, and We Are Listen, and A HUGE THANK YOU to all of our guests and attendees, as well—the night wouldn’t have been the same without you.
