It took quite a few bushels for Ezra to pay for these classic, WWII era spectacles, but eventually he took care of his debt, while simultaneously proving that an apple a day does not, in all cases, keep the doctor away.

Joey Shavala, AKA the King of the Lower East Side, often made a spectacle revving his Harley down Mulberry Street on his way into the Shop. This frame is named after Sol's sister, Gladys Moscot, a wanderlust traveler who left New York's Lower East Side for a life of drinking Cuba Libres and smoking Cohibas in Havana. Back in the days of yore, when the Lower East Side was more rough and tumble than cocktails and tapas, MOSCOT's resident optometrist, Dr. Richard Fleisig, aka "Dr. Zetz," did double duty: provided excellent eye care to patients, and punched (hence his moniker) bad guys tasks that were (almost always) mutually exclusive. Like Dr. Zetz, this strong, sturdy frame is a knockout.
