First seen on brudes, dudes, and sisters in the 1960s, The BRUDE is subtly striking, and features detailed engraving on its bridge and temples.

Ezra ran the busiest fruit stand in the Essex Street Market, but that didn't stop his daily visits to GREAT Grandpa Sol to trade crisp Granny Smith apples for the pair of eyeglasses he coveted. It took quite a few bushels for Ezra to pay for these classic, WWII era spectacles, but eventually he took care of his debt, while simultaneously proving that an apple a day does not, in all cases, keep the doctor away.

A "balebus" is someone who is resolute, indomitable, and steadfast - qualities Great Grandpa Hyman so admired, he "invented" the "word" balebus to "identify" a "balebuster" whenever he saw one. Mr. Kelly was 4th Generation Harvey's grade school science teacher. He was known for two things: his signature look (a short-sleeved button-down shirt, thin black tie, and NASA-esque glasses); and the show-and-tell of marine life he always brought into class.
