A favorite Moscot family tradition, Joel and the boys would close up shop and head down Broome street to Little Italy to snack on some tasty Zeppoles. Inspired by the Italian chef whipping up the treats, The TELENA is a little bit bigger and a whole lot bolder than our beloved LEMTOSH. A Ratner’s regular, 2nd Generation Sol would often pop over for a bite at his favorite eatery. Ezra ran the busiest fruit stand in the Essex Street Market, but that didn't stop his daily visits to GREAT Grandpa Sol to trade crisp Granny Smith apples for the pair of eyeglasses he coveted. It took quite a few bushels for Ezra to pay for these classic, WWII era spectacles, but eventually he took care of his debt, while simultaneously proving that an apple a day does not, in all cases, keep the doctor away.

Bobby, Uncle Heshy's next door neighbor, was a hardworking kid that could never pull off the grades he aspired for. After leaving the city for more schooling, Bobby came back to the Big Apple a well-respected, top-of-the-class academic. With a high nose bridge and tall round lenses, these professorial inspired specs are dedicated to Bobby, and all of life's late BLUMAs.
