The KOOPA’s colorful history begins in the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn, circa 1960, where its predecessor was the most popular frame among the Hasidim (Mazel Tov!). Fast-forward 50 years and this utilitarian chic frame still looks equally fetching whether you’re wearing The KOOPA at Schul, or while drinking at your favorite neighborhood watering hole.
The KOOPA’s slightly oversized rectangular frame is made from acetate and features two dot rivets on the temples, a saddle bridge, and five barrel hinge. The ophthalmic frame is available in Black Crystal.

The ETTA is fun and quirky with whimsy to spare, just like our Great Aunt Etta, for whom the frame is named. Whether shouting from her soapbox, spinning a tall tale, or just tooling around the Lower East Side, Etta was a true original. Wildly cheerful and always high-spirited, her joie de vivre is vividly captured in the frame’s embellishments.
Designed for women, The ETTA’s rounded cat eye is made from acetate and features two star rivets on the front and temples, and a seven barrel hinge. The ophthalmic frame is available in Black Crystal, Olive Tortoise, and Amber Stripe.

This special edition frame takes perennial MOSCOT favorite, The ZULU, and adds a whole lotta flash with an ultra reflective gold lens – just the right accessory for Uncle Zulu to remain incognito. Gold mirror lenses allow less light through for extra-added sun protection.

Accomplished cellist Trevor Exter returned to the MOSCOT stage on March 12th with drummer John Kimock for MOSCOT Music's Saturday Sessions! The duo packed the house with their funky soul pop sound, perfect for a pre-spring Saturday afternoon in the LES. We last saw Trevor in 2009 when he wowed the crowd at the Orchard Street Gallery, so we were super excited that Trevor came back for another show and introduced MOSCOT Music fans to another rising talent.
The Collection’s most creative frame, The GROVER hints of an Aviator but with a lot more attitude. Not a frame for the meek, The GROVER looks best on men with strong features — think chiseled jaw and other prominent manly facial features. Featuring a Mazzucchelli acetate front with metal temples, and a saddle bridge. Available in Brown and Grey.

The Collection’s signature frame, The FIONAH, is by far the edgiest. With bold color combinations, a thick temple and a hint of Harlequin, The FIONAH may be pretty, but it’s certainly not fair. Looks particularly good on rounder faces or on folks with a strong chin. The FIONAH is made of 100% Mazzucchelli acetate. Frames feature an offset color palette on the front and temples and a curved end piece. Available in Cream and Honey.

Just like Mary Richards and Rhoda Morgenstern, The DREW is quirky, independent and beautiful. Hey, maybe The DREW should have her own TV show too. The DREW is made of acetate with a saddle bridge and metal detail at the hinge. Available in Matte Black, Cranberry and Slate Green.
