And The MOSCOT Team is off to SILMO next week (WHOOP!) to launch our Fall 2012 MOSCOT Originals Collection (WHOOP! WHOOP!)!!!
We are beyond excited to show our newest Collection off to our amazing distribution partners from all across the globe - and of course to friends and fans here in the US!

If you haven't heard already, MOSCOT is LIVING HISTORY on October 4th, 2012 when we launch our Fall 2012 MOSCOT Originals Collection and Living History Campaign with the help of seven amazingly cool denizens and multigenerational family businesses integral to the history, and future, of The Lower East Side - the cradle of New York City. Last night, these luminaries (and the stars of our new campaign!), and select press, came together as neighbors, friends, and family, for an intimate preview of our LIVING HISTORY campaign at the MOSCOT Gallery & Music Space on Orchard Street. It was a night filled with laughter, reminiscing, and amazing stories…and very yummy nosh (thanks to Russ & Daughters!). A very big and warm thank you to our guests of honor, to the press in attendance, and of course, Russ & Daughters for catering the event.

What is your position at MOSCOT?
I am the Production and Wholesale Coordinator at MOSCOT.
How long have you worked for MOSCOT?
I can't believe I am approaching my two-year mark already in December. Time flies when you're having fun!
What is your favorite thing about working for MOSCOT?
The best part of working for MOSCOT is being able to step into any role when needed. Thanks for the awesome training Robyn!
What is your favorite thing to do when you're not at work?
Since I am a MOSCOT (genetically and professionally), I am known to frequent the gym.
What is your favorite MOSCOT frame and which one do you wear?
My favorite MOSCOT frame is The HYMAN in Black, which I do wear most every day. Can't ever forget MOSCOT founding father!
Where would you take your favorite MOSCOT Sun on vacation?
Vacation.. SKIING! And I am sure to take my JORDAN with me, both brother and sunglass.

The MOSCOT Shops were THE place to be this past weekend as we bid farewell to summer with a weekend of awesome music! Teaming with Extended Family, our "Farewell to Summer" weekend of music started Saturday at The MOSCOT Gallery & Music Space at Orchard Street with indie pop band "I Am Lightyear," who led by songtress Lauren Zettler, got the crowd ooh-ing and asking for more. Next up, NYC band "Caged Animals" hit the stage, taking the crowd on a ride with their cool blend of chilled out, yet upbeat indie rock. It's a good thing we have a lot of floor space, as we danced the afternoon away!
The fun continued Sunday as fans migrated east to The MOSCOT Backyard at MOSCOT Court Street for sunshine, free Brooklyn Brewery beer (for those 21+) and sweet sets by indie-folk acts, "Swear & Shake" and "Aunt Martha". The boy/girl band duo of Swear & Shake went first, harmonizing sweet tunes backed by banjo, guitar, harmonica, and the stomping beat of their feet. Aunt Martha played a mix of softer, straight-to-heart songs and guitar-driven, rock-inspired jams.
We loved partnering with Extended Family, which was born out of the desire for Family Records to work with artists who aren't signed to their label, in a way that felt positive and fun for everyone involved.

MOSCOT fans in Singapore were in an "Empire State of Mind" thanks to our Singaporean retailer, The Eye Site, who held a New York-style MOSCOT Trunk show last week. The Eye Site team brought the Big Apple to Singapore with New York-style pizza and bagels (with a schmear!), and The MOSCOT Originals…of course! Fans and press shopped til they dropped — "No Sleep 'Til Brooklyn"! A huge thanks to The Eye Site, and MOSCOT distribution partner, We Do Asia, for this awesome event!
